The region offers more than 60 km of well-prepared winter hiking trails, suitable for both relaxed and more sporty walks.

Groomed routes

The walking trails are prepared for winter conditions and well signposted, making them accessible to almost everyone. Walk through forests, across snowy fields and along mountain ridges with views of the Zugspitze – winter hiking here truly means getting lost in nature. For families, there are several digital adventure trails with audio guides, mini-games and puzzles for the whole family.

Guided tours & hiking options

During winter, you can also book organized snowshoe and winter hikes in the region, often accompanied by guides who explain everything about the surroundings and safety in the mountains. Some of these guided tours are even free of charge. In addition, the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena offers a wide variety of winter hiking trails and snowshoe routes, ranging from short family walks to longer tours with views of the mountains and valleys.
